Arrive at the Ramada Encore Chatham on Friday evening at your leisure.
Saturday
After a leisurely Hot and Healthy Breakfast served in the Hub make your way to Historic Rochester and choose between the Guildhall Musuem or Rochester Cathedral to visit. Lunch in one of the many idyllic café’s in Rochester (additional charge payable direct to Café)
After lunch make your way to the Visitor Information Centre where your guided tour will follow in Dickens footsteps around Rochester. This exciting 90 minute tour takes in the beautiful buildings the author immortalised in his books.
After the tour visit Rochester Castle and take in the spectacular views from the top.
After a full day of history return to the hotel and dine at your leisure in the Hub Restaurant.
Sunday
Once again enjoy a hearty breakfast served in the Hub. After breakfast take a leisurely stroll to The Historic Dockyard to discover over 400 years of maritime history in one of the world’s most complete dockyards of the Age of Sail and meet characters from the past.
From the Dockyard again a leisurely stroll will take to the Dickens World complex which will take you on a fascinating journey through Dickens’ lifetime as you step back into Dickensian England and are immersed in the urban streets, sounds and smells of the 19th century.
Return to the hotel for a traditional cream tea between 4pm & 6pm before making your way home.
